Kigo
A bold and modern aesthetic for a company reimagining how loyalty is inspired & experienced
Goal
Kigo is a company that is reimagining how loyalty is inspired and experienced. They designed a new bold and modern aesthetic for their website that better reflected their brand and mission, and needed a developer to bring that design to life
Process
I was brought in as the sole developer on this project, the rest of the team were internal employees and consisted of Project Management, Copy/Content, and Design. We knew that this site would then be maintained by the Kigo team, so we wanted to make sure that the site was easy to manage and update. We decided to use WordPress as the CMS for its flexibility and ease of use.
The design was provided to me as a Figma file, which I used to create a custom WordPress theme. There were several complex interactive elements on the site, including a custom Accordion, Sticky scroll mobile phone screen, Stats animation, Client and Slide carousels, Timeline, World map, etc. I used a combination of PHP, JavaScript, and CSS to create these elements and ensure that they were accessible and performant.
Outcome
An accessible and performant site that stayed true to the designs, on time and budget.
